8000 Philippine minors who use vapes illegally were warned

Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Jean Fajardo said more than 8,000 minors have been issued warnings for violating vape regulations.

129,878 people were arrested during the crackdown for using illegal vapes

In the Philippine, there is Republic Act No. 11900 and Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act. Under these acts, the legal age for purchasing vape products is 18 years and above. Besides, the bill prohibits the sale of such products within 100 meters of educational institutions, playgrounds, and other places frequented by minors.

About 129,878 people were arrested during the crackdown, the spokesman says. The reason is they violate the Philippine Republic Act No. 11900 and Executive Order No. 26. Among them, there are about 8,000 minors. Among these minors, 6,714 violate Executive Order 26, and 1,900 violate Act 11900 of the Republic of the Philippines. The minors are eventually reprimanded by the police and returned to their parents.

During this operation, the Philippine police instructed its operations department to arrest relevant vape sellers.

Vape manufacturer: Stop selling vaping products to minors

VPFIT has always opposed the sale of vape products to minors. As a responsible vape manufacturer, VPFIT has always regarded adults as its main customer group. Besides, we have been calling on vape dealers and retailers not to sell vape products to children.

Minors are the future and hope of society, and they should be protected. This requires the joint efforts of everyone. First, vape manufacturers should avoid using attractive packaging and vape flavors. What’s more, vape dealers and retailers should have a conscience and refuse to sell vapes to minors. Besides, increase publicity on the potential harms of vaping products and cigarettes.

Here, VPFIT calls on all vape companies, distributors, wholesalers and retailers to follow these methods. In these ways, we can keep minors away from vaping products and other tobacco products.
