EU Import 1.95 Billion Euros Vapes in 2022, China Vapes Account 59%

According to Eurostat data, in 2022, the total import value of vapes from China by the 27 EU countries is approximately 1.95 billion euros. The total weight of imported vapes from China is 26,136,453 kilograms. The Chinese vapes accounts for 59% of the EU’s total vape import volume in 2022.

On September 19, the European Union Statistics Office (Eurostat) released the import and export data in 2022. VPFIT counts the import and export data of vapes in the 27 EU members in 2022.

Import vapes in 2022:

Total imports: 3,294,126,809 euros, approximately 3.294 billion euros.
Total import weight: 56,021,982 kilograms, equivalent to 56,000 tons.

Export vapes in 2023:

Total export value: 1,297,871,630 euros, approximately 1.298 billion euros.
Total export weight: 30,780,616 kilograms, equivalent to 30,800 tons.

Net import vapes in 2022:

Total net import value: 1,996,255,179 euros, approximately 1.996 billion euros.
Total net import weight: 25,241,366 kilograms, equivalent to 25,000 tons.

59% EU import vapes are from China

According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, China vape exports in 2022 total is approximately US$9.886 billion, with a total export weight of 163,400 tons. Among them, vapes directly exported to the 27 EU countries accounted for 19.61% of Chinese vape total exports (about 1.814 billion euros). And it is 15.23% of the total export weight of vapes from China in 2022 (about 24,900 tons).

According to Eurostat data, in 2022, the total value of vapes imported directly from China by the 27 EU countries was 1,953,286,599 euros, approximately 1.95 billion euros (accounting for 59% of the EU’s total vape imports), and the total weight was 26,136,453 kilograms .

From the data, we can find that the Chinese vape manufacturers are still the main resource for EU import vapes.
